Important Verses of Surah Yaseen

Verse no 12

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍأَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ (۱۲)

ہم یقیناً ایک روز مردوں کو زندہ کرنے والے ہیں۔ جو کچھ افعال انہوں نے کئے ہیں وہ سب ہم لکھتے جا لکھتے جا رہے ہیں، اور جو کچھ آثار کچھ آثار انہوں نے پیچھے چھوڑے ہیں وہ : وہ بھی ہم ثبت کر رہے ہیں۔ ہر چیز کو ہم نے ایک کھلی کتاب میں درج کر رکھا ہے۔

Indeed, it is We who revive the dead and write what they have sent ahead and their effects [which they left behind], and We have figured everything in a manifest Imam.

Verse no 36

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (٣٦)

پاک ہے وہ ذات جس نے جملہ اقسام کے جوڑے پیدا کیے خواہ وہ زمین کی نباتات میں سے ہوں یا خود ان کی اپنی جنس (یعنی نوع انسانی) میں سے یا ان اشیاء میں س جن کو یہ جانتے تک نہیں ہیں۔

Immaculate is He who has created all the kinds of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and of what they do not know.

Verse no 54

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (۵۴)

آج کسی پر ذرہ برابر ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا اور تمہیں ویسا ہی بدلہ دیا جائے گا جیسے عمل تم کرتے رہے تھے ۔

‘Today no soul will be wronged in the least, nor will you be requited except for what you used to do.’

Verse no 54

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ (۷۷)

کیا انسان دیکھتا نہیں ہے کہ ہم نے اسے نطفہ سے پیدا کیا اور پھر وہ صریح جھگڑا لو بن کر کھڑا ہو گیا ؟

Does not man see that We created him from a drop of [seminal] fluid, and, behold, he is an open contender!?

Surah Yaseen Importance

Surah Ya-Sin holds a special status in the hearts of Muslims (believers) around the globe. This special Surah is considered the Heart of the Holy Quran; many believers recite it for calm, spiritual comfort, guidance, and blessings. This is also recited in times of hardship in life and to solve worldly problems. But later, we mainly focus on its importance to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Quran Hearts Hadith

The Prophet (pbuh) said:

“Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Yaseen. I would love it to be in the heart of every person of my people.”

(Tafsir-al- Sabuni Vol.2)

Explanation

Many prominent scholars have classified this hadith as weak. However, the meaning highlights the central themes of Surah Yaseen Tawheed, Prophethood, and the Hereafter. The main reason this Surah is important is that it contains the core message of Islam. That is why it is metaphorically called the heart.

Recite Surah Yaseen on Dying

The Prophet ( pbuh) said:

“If anyone recites Ya’ Sin out of a desire for Allah’s favour, his past sins will be forgiven him; so recite it over those of you who are dying.’’

(Mishkat al-Masabih 2178, Book 8, Hadith 68)

Explanation:

This hadith mainly focuses on and encourages believers to read Surah Yaseen to seek forgiveness for their sins, and also indicates that it should be recited over a dying person so the dying person’s sins fade away, and it can be a source of Allah Almighty’s blessings and of entry into paradise. This hadith also shows its importance in the eyes of Prophet Muhammad.

Reciting at Night

Rasulullah (PBUH) said:

“Whoever recites Surah Yasin at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, His sins will be forgiven.”

(Muwatta Imam Malik)

Explanation:

This hadith is also considered weak by many religious scholars. However, this narration emphasized weaponizing you before going to bed, and it shows the importance of recitation of the Holy Quran with sincerity at night. Forgiveness is always connected with your good intention, belief, repentance from the broken heart, and devotion, not just repetition
